The automotive industry has enabled us to travel extensively. It has led to the creation of many industries and has become a very integral part of our society. Its benefits cannot be merely expressed in words. Before automotive became part of our everyday lives, people had to either travel by train or go large distances by horseback. Due to this, a journey could take days and was very tiring. Further, you will have to make sure the horse has rested and has enough food and water to eat and drink. Due to this, people rarely travelled large distances and when they travelled, it was usually alone and not with family.
There were instances in history where, automotive were made using various types of engines. These were stepping stones to the creation of the first gas powered vehicle. Even though they weren’t successful as the gas-powered vehicle, they were educational in building the first gas powered automobile which was also the first production vehicle in the world. This was done in 1885 by Karl Benz.
Thereafter, the Ford Motor Company developed the first mass produced automobile which was focused on affordability for the average consumer. Due to this and the high adoption rate, by 1927, Ford had already sold 15,000,000 automobiles before producing a different model. Automobiles weren’t available as today. But as time went on, more and more manufacturers started manufacturing cars. Further, the development of roads and traffic laws, adoption of cars became widespread.The World War 1 and 2 were detrimental in technology advancement in automobiles. There were many manufacturers and they began making automobiles faster and stronger. Further, tanks and military vehicles were built to withstand damage. During these times, many people had cars. It was popular and everyone wanted one.
People’s fascination with automobiles never seemed to be quenched. Sports cars were being manufactured. People who liked sports vehicle would hire prestige cars Sydney. Racing became very popular with many manufacturers creating sports vehicle to compete. From then onwards, various vehicle manufacturers started producing many different models.The Germans established themselves as the best engineers releasing cars such as Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi and Volkswagen with sports vehicles such as Lamborghini, Bugatti, Koenigsegg becoming popular in Europe. Further, American cars became popular for the strength and Japanese technology and production was world renown. The automotive industry never stays the same and always seems to change with new inventions and technology.
